This guy does not know the words - "I'm hurt, and I can't train." Thank You, Sir!
We all know how important it is to work out, but so many people make excuses for why they can't. I completely understand that hesitation. My guess is that these folks have not yet discovered the discipline they are passionate about. Let me share my passion--Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). This training, or what we call "rolling", is the best way for me to work out.
BJJ is a full-body workout like nothing I have ever experienced before. It has become something of a healthy addiction in my life. This may seem counterintuitive, but trust me, you know it when it hits you. It is a lifestyle I hope to keep with for the rest of my life--why can't I roll till I'm 80 years old if I take care of my body? After all, Helio Gracie, the grandmaster and co-creator of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was rolling BJJ till he passed away in his nineties...
Today, I received a copy of the most recent Gracie Magazine (May 2015) and noticed an article about a 77-year old man who has adopted BJJ as his passion. Nothing is stoping him from doing what he loves. This gentleman has been fighting obstacles throughout his BJJ career--fighting cancer, diabetes, a broken collarbone, a knee replacement... The list goes on.

Now, compare your bumps and bruises to this man's battle. He still trains and competes.
BJJ is not for everybody. But if you want it--go get it. Battle your excuses and hesitations. Life is tough for all of us; try to reward yourself. Consistently training with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) will bring you health, wealth, and longevity unlike many other disciplines.
At the end of the day, the question is: Do you want to train or not? If your answer is yes, then, as our coach Gilmar from Brazil would say,"Let's Do It, Bro."
