As a coach if your beginner student or children have a bad first experience at a jiu jitsu tournament, you are at risk of that student becoming discouraged with jiu jitsu and possibly never returning to your academy to train ever again. This is not good for you as a business owner, nor is it for the growth of this martial art as a whole.  It is important that students compete so that they can gauge their progress in this sport, however it needs to be accomplished in a way that will not break their confidence because of a poor event experience.
By registering your school with our league you are helping provide a practical option for your students who cannot pay a steep entry fee, or commit an entire day to a jiu jitsu tournament, and are providing them an alternative environment to traditional jiu jitsu events which promote positive personal growth and development for themselves as bjj practitioners.  
All coaches are compensated for their time and commitment and are provided with a monetary bonus based off of the number of competitors that they send to each event.  This compensation is provided to the coaches who dedicate (and mostly donate) their time, energy, services, and make personal investments to help promote and attend these events which are designed to provide a valuable and affordable service for their students
