8:30 am - 9 am - (Check In / Weigh In)

9am - 11:30 am - GI & NOGI BJJ Scrimmage

Scrimmage Format


This event is designed to help participants of all levels gain valuable competitive experience without paying steep registration costs and spending all day at a venue!


Competitors will not leave with medals but will leave with competition experience, having rolled as many times as possible with new faces from the Midwest BJJ community! These events get bigger every time and we are excited to bring new schools in from all over the state and surrounding area!

Submission only format will also take place during select matches.  

​

Prizes are awarded throughout the event from sponsors.  Most participants have gone home with multiple prizes at each of our events.  


Multiple Matches Guaranteed!


  • Matches are 3 minutes for children and 5 minutes for adults.

  • Divisions are based off on age, experience, gender, and general weight.  

  • This is a round robin style format that guarantees grapplers multiple matches and experience.

BJJ Scrimmage Rules

​

-2 points for a takedown

-2 points for knee on belly

-2 points for a sweep

-3 points for side control

-4 points for full mount

-4 points for back control with both hooks



The entry cost for this event is $10 for both divisions or FREE w/ student id (Nogi and Gi).

*Check-ins and bracketing are done 30 minutes prior to scheduled event time.

Our tournaments are  sponsored by BJJ4Change who have developed a tournament format for their Netflix BJJ camps that format smaller brackets for competitors, provide professional video footage of the matches, award  competitors with cash and prizes for winning their brackets, and provide sponsors with brand recognition in this new sport.
